How is the fabric manufactured?
The 1st step is
Knitting
1, Yarn selection. Check to ensure that the yarn count, strength, and twist are uniform.
2, Thread the yarn into the winding tube. Feed the yarn drum smoothly into the needle area through the yarn guide and tension device.
3, Form a circle. The knitting needles rise and fall, hooking, rewinding, bending, shedding, and forming loops, ultimately forming the greige fabric.
Critical Control Points:
✔ Yarn quality control.
✔ Precise control of tension.
✔ Needle status management.
✔ Optimization of process parameters.
✔ Constant environmental protection.
The 2nd step is
Dyeing
1, Pretreatment: Relaxation scouring to remove knitting oils/lubricants,and, Controlled bleaching (optional) to enhance dye uptake.
2, Batch dyeing: Overflow/soft-flow machines prevent fabric distortio.
3, Post-Dyeing: Gradual cooling (polyester) to prevent creasing ,Multistage rinsing to maintain fabric handfeel ,pH neutralization for sensitive fibers.
Critical Control Points:
✔ Tension control to preserve stretch properties
✔ Anti-creasing agents for tubular knits
✔ Lower mechanical action vs woven fabrics
The 3th step is
Finishing
1, De-watering: Hydro-extraction to remove excess water (controlled RPM to prevent distortion)
2, Drying: Relaxed drying at 80-110°C to maintain elasticity
3, Stentering: Low-tension overfeeding (typically 5-8%) to preserve knit structure
4, Softening: Silicone-based agents for handfeel enhancement Compacting: Thermal stabilization to minimize shrinkage
Critical Control Points:
✔ Tension Management: Avoid over-stretching
✔ Temperature Control: Polyester ≤150°C, cotton ≤120°C
✔ Residual pH: 5.5-7.0
✔ Shrinkage Rate: Target ≤5% (industry standard for knits)
